2023 Italian Honeybee Packages and Queens available for Pre Order!

Any remaining packages will be sold on a first come / first serve basis, Saturday, April 8, 2023

Packages include screened cage, 32oz. of sugar syrup, approximately 3 pounds of bees which include nurse bees, forager bees, guard bees and drone bees and recently treated for varroa mites. The newly mated Italian Queen will be in a separate queen cage. Order your bees now at the best price around with a pickup date of Saturday, April 8, 2023.

Italian Hybrid are Italian Based bees crossed with Carniolan and Buckfast. This hybrid produces and provides the best qualities and traits desired from all 3 strains.

NUC is a small established colony of 5 frames of brood in various stages of development, bees, pollen, nectar, laying-accepted queen and possibly some honey stores. Installing a NUC:  Simply lift the frames out of the nuc box and place them in their new home.

Register for YCBA’s 2023 Certified Level Beekeeping Course!

If you’re ordering bees but haven’t taken a Certified Level Beekeeping Course you can soon register with classes to start January 19th! The course is suitable for beginners looking to become beekeepers and those who are currently keeping bees, looking to gain more knowledge. This course is the first level in the South Carolina Master Beekeeping curriculum and will provide the knowledge for achieving the level of Certified Beekeeper. Please see the registration form for course curriculum and cost. As a student you will become a member of York County Beekeepers Association (YCBA) for 2023.

A big thanks to John & Steve for orchestrating the entire project, obtaining required permits, driving nearly 600 miles with their own personal vehicle, donating 2 days of their time, being guardian over our bees all because they love bees and you!
